“Every closed eye is not sleeping, and every open eye is not seeing.” B. Cosby.
There are moments in life where we’re called to make decisions. Depending on the lens we’re using, we can either utilize these decisions to take us into new levels of maturity or further astray. Regardless of our lens, the Fathers intention of these decisions is to bring life and enjoyment.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, Else they will not come near you.” [Psalm 32:8’9]
Instruct: Sakal: To be prudent, be circumspect, wisely understand, and prosper.
Teach: Yarah: To throw, shoot, cast, pour.
Way: Derek: Way, road, distance, journey, manner.
During this season, I’ve been asked by the Father to allow myself to know him in a different way, to surrender a part that is hard to surrender for every person on earth.
My will.
My mind.
My journey.
My manner.
“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” [Psalm 37:5]
As sons and daughters, our desire is to be like our Father- to be the image and likeness of him. When we give ourselves to the process of being molded by him, the Lord starts to reveal the HEART behind what he is doing because His desire is to see mature sons and daughters who partake with him of his plan and his love.
But as it is written:
“Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him.” [1 Corinthians 2:9]
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” [Matthew 5:8]
By accepting his invitation to grow into more of who He has designed us to be, he gives us more insight of what His heart is for our lives. We learn to see with His eyes. Our whole perception of what life is starts to have a deeper meaning and a better understanding on situations. We see the people around us in a different way; we see through the lens of the Father and the love He has for them.
“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”
– Romans 8:19 –
